Discord Module#

The Discord Module connects UltimateClans to the official TribeCraft Discord integration. It is not a generic webhook module and it does not require administrators to paste Discord webhook URLs into the current setup flow.

Its job is to keep a clan connected to Discord through the TribeCraft integration service so that clan chat can move between Minecraft and Discord and a separate Discord channel can receive clan notifications.

Invite the official integration bot from https://tribecraft.com.br/bot.

Compatibility#

  • Module version: 1.2
  • Minimum UltimateClans version: 9.0.0
  • Documentation release: 2026.09.8
  • Required companion: the official TribeCraft Discord bot/integration service

What the module provides#

A clan can have two independent Discord channel roles:

  • CHAT — a two-way bridge between UltimateClans clan chat and a Discord text channel.
  • NOTIFICATION — a one-way Minecraft → Discord channel intended for clan notifications. Normal Discord chat is rejected in this channel.

These two channels can be linked separately. A server can therefore use one channel for day-to-day clan chat and another for automated clan notices.

The setup flow at a glance#

  1. Invite the official bot to the Discord server.
  2. Run /register-client in Discord.
  3. Copy the Discord ID returned by the bot.
  4. In Minecraft, run /discord_register client <discord_id> to associate the Minecraft installation with that Discord registration.
  5. A clan member who is allowed to manage the integration runs /clan discord register.
  6. UltimateClans presents the clan UUID/token used by the integration.
  7. In the desired Discord channel, run /link, choose CHAT or NOTIFICATION, and provide the clan token.
  8. Repeat /link in a second channel if the clan should use both channel types.

For the complete walkthrough, see Discord setup and linking.

How clan chat works#

Minecraft clan chat is forwarded only when the player is actually using the clan chat context. The module listens to UltimateClans ClanChatEvent and sends the player's UUID, name, clan role, message and current server name through the integration connection.

Messages coming back from Discord are shown to the clan with Config.Discord.message_format. The format supports {player}, {message}, {role}, {server} and {uuid}.

The Discord side accepts plain text for the Minecraft bridge. Links, code formatting and file attachments are blocked, and long messages are shortened before being sent to Minecraft.

See Chat and notifications for the full behavior.

Who can change the integration#

There are two different access layers:

  • Bukkit command permission controls access to the Discord command itself.
  • UltimateClans internal role permission Discord-Edit controls whether that clan member may register or remove the clan integration.

By default, Discord-Edit is added to the moderator and admin clan roles with value true.

This means giving a player the Bukkit permission alone does not automatically allow that member to change the clan's Discord connection.

Client and clan limits#

The integration service validates the Minecraft client before allowing clan tokens to connect. The supplied integration source implements a free allowance of up to 5 clans for a registered client. An active TribeSync Webhook subscription removes that clan-count limit.

If a clan falls outside the current plan allowance, its link is not deleted. The module treats the connection as suspended and periodically attempts recovery instead of destroying the saved clan integration.

Persistence and reconnect behavior#

When UltimateClans starts or reloads, the module checks clans whose saved Discord state is CONNECTED and attempts to restore their integration connections automatically. Normal temporary disconnects use retry/backoff behavior.

Deleting a clan also unregisters its Discord integration from the module side.

What this module is not#

  • It is not the UltimateKoth Discord addon.
  • It is not the Logger module or a generic webhook broadcaster.
  • The Discord bot itself is not a separate product documented in this Wiki; only the bot actions required to operate the UltimateClans Discord Module are documented here.
