Skills and actions#

Reusable skills are small action sequences stored in skills/*.yml. They are useful for boss phases, enrage feedback, stage clears and any repeated multi-effect behavior.

Built-in action types#

  • MESSAGE
  • ACTIONBAR
  • TITLE
  • SOUND
  • PARTICLE
  • COMMAND
  • TELEPORT
  • SKILL
  • ENTITY_SKILL

External addons can register more actions.

Reusable skill example#

id: guardian_enrage
name: '<error>Guardian Enrage</error>'
actions:
  - type: PARTICLE
    target: PARTICIPANTS
    location: ENTITY
    particle: FLAME
    amount: 60
  - type: SOUND
    target: PARTICIPANTS
    sound: 'ENTITY_WITHER_SPAWN:0.8:1.1'
  - type: ACTIONBAR
    target: PARTICIPANTS
    message: '<error>ENRAGED!</error>'

Call it from a boss phase/enrage or from another action:

- type: SKILL
  skill: guardian_enrage

Action targets and locations#

Actions can target participants, the triggering player/entity, or other contexts supported by the action manager. Particle/teleport/entity-skill actions may also resolve locations such as the target/entity/current raid context.

ENTITY_SKILL#

This delegates a skill ID to an entity provider that reports supportsSkills(). It is intended for integrations such as custom-mob systems.

Actions on raid lifecycle#

The raid definition can attach actions to events such as start, death, eliminated, reconnect and complete. Stages/bosses can also execute actions at their own lifecycle points.
